Are you a hands-on, solutions-driven professional with a passion for creating efficient and welcoming workspaces? Join our team as a Facility Officer in Penzance and play a key role in ensuring our office runs smoothly, safely, and sustainably.
Please note: To be considered for this role, it is essential that you live within approximately 1 hour’s drive of the Penzance office. This ensures you can respond promptly to urgent issues and be present for day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Do
As our Facility Officer, you’ll be the go-to person for all things facilities-related at our Penzance office. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, support hybrid working needs, and lead small local projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing essential services: security, cleaning, catering, maintenance, recycling, and more.
* Acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for facility service requests (e.g. stationery, meeting rooms, catering).
* Managing third-party contractors and ensuring service quality.
* Supporting office changes, relocations, and fit-outs.
* Preparing and monitoring the office’s operational budget (OPEX).
* Responding to urgent issues and ensuring a safe, compliant environment.
* Collaborating with internal teams (HR, IT, H&S) and external partners (landlords, service providers).

What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience in Facility Management or a related field.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders with flexibility and professionalism.
* A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Understanding of hybrid working environments and space utilisation.
Your Scope
* You’ll be responsible for the Penzance office and provide remote support to our site at the PyC Windfarm.
* While you won’t manage direct reports, you’ll steer contractors and project teams effectively.

You’ll collaborate closely with:
* Local staff and visiting colleagues.
* Business Areas and Staff Functions (Human Resources, IT, Health & Safety).
* External partners including landlords, building managers, and service contractors.
