Job Description
* To oversee the annual audit of the Company's accounts and to ensure they are filed on a timely basis each year.
* To oversee the preparation of Company's annual tax return and to ensure it is filed on a timely basis each year.
* To assist with the quarterly and annual reporting obligations of the US parent company and to ensure all relevant reporting deadlines are met.
* To ensure all payroll processing is carried out accurately and efficiently and that all the Company's HMRC employee payroll obligations are met.
* To ensure the Company's financial control processes are fully adhered to and to monitor and enhance these same processes as considered necessary for SOX compliance purposes.
* To ensure the Company's VAT Reporting obligations are met and deal with any communications raised by HMRC in this regard.
* To ensure that the Company's statutory filing obligations at Companies House and other relevant corporate legal obligations are met.
* Responsible for preparing and/or reviewing monthly account reconciliations and posting of related journal entries for the UK company.
* Production of monthly employee R&D qualifying cost analysis report for R&D Tax Credit calculation purposes.
* Oversight of accounts payable and vendor payment processing
The Successful Applicant
* Chartered Accountant desired.
* 10-15 years relevant experience, Life Sciences experience desired.
* Experience managing corporate tax filings and related HMRC requirements.
* Knowledge of payroll taxes and related HMRC requirements.
* Experience with Clinical Trial accruals.
* Knowledge of US GAAP.
* Experience with any of the following software: Sage Intacct, Avid Exchange, Concur.
