Part Qualified Finance assistant /Assistant Accountant Your new company Hays is currently working exclusively with a well-established organisation based in Watford to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant /Assistant Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic finance team in a broad and hands-on role, supporting both operational and strategic finance functions. Your new role Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager and working closely with the CFO and other senior stakeholders, you’ll be responsible for managing the full sales invoicing and accounts receivable process. This includes issuing invoices, reconciling payments, supporting statutory reporting across multiple regions, and assisting with month-end close and audits. What you'll need to succeed Raise and process wholesale and online sales invoices Maintain accurate customer account records and monitor AR Submit VAT and sales tax returns across UK, EU, and US Liaise with external partners, including 3PL warehouses and tax compliance providers Support invoice financing documentation and reconciliations Assist with inventory management, royalty and commission reporting Provide ad-hoc reporting and support to senior stakeholders About You: Qualified or part-qualified accountant with 5–6 years’ experience in a similar role Background in retail or wholesale environments preferred Strong communication skills and a proactive approach Experience with SAP, Xero, and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) is a plus.
