Please note, this is a Fire and Life Safety Consultant role, requiring a candidate to be an expert in Fire Life Safety systems design & code compliance. It is not a fire protection or installation role.
A UK leader in the built environment is seeking an experienced, client facing Senior-Principal fire and life safety specialist to join their established and growing team in either Manchester, Birmingham, Oxford or London.
They are multi-award winning for not just their projects, but also well renowned for their focus on employee wellbeing.
This role will see you working on some of the world's most innovative and prestigious projects. The fire team are an integral part of the business and is lead by a truly inspirational, experienced leader in the field of fire engineering.
Projects span all sectors across the globe, from residential, commercial and retail to high rise, aviation and others.
If you are passionate about fire safety design and have a strong technical background and are client facing you will absolutely thrive in this business.
Experience required for Principal Fire and Life Safety Engineer / Consultant
* Masters Degree or Bachelor Degree of Engineering from a recognized university for Fire Engineering
* Ideally you will be a Chartered Professional Engineer.
* Member of Professional body such as MIFireE
* 10+ years of previous experience with Fire and Life Safety Specialist consultant “House of Expertise” within the building services industry.
* Knowledge of different GCC Building Codes such as UK Fire & life safety code, UK Building Code,and British Standards.
* Experience in preparation of Fire Safety submissions
* Experience in negotiating with authorities for approval on fire safety designs and proposals.
* Ability to independently undertake project and technical analysis.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
