Purpose of the role
To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business andpliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in apliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.
Accountabilities
1. Identification and assessment ofpliance risks through thorough reviews of business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems to.
2. Identification and investigation of potential market abuse, including but not limited to, Insider Dealing, Unlawful Disclosure, Market Manipulation or Antipetitive Conduct.
3. Conduct investigation ofpliance risk events or breaches. Oversight and check and challenge of corrective actions and preventative measures to avoid future occurrences.
4. Implementation ofpliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring that the bank's internal policies are aligned with international standards, including jurisdictional requirements.
5. Collaboration with 1LOD, other relevantpliance teams and legal, and relevant risk management functions to facilitate aprehensive approach topliance and risk management.
6. Identification, investigation and oversight of potential money laundering, terrorist financing or other financial crime.

7. To manage a business function, providing significant input to function wide strategic initiatives. Contribute to and influence policy and procedures for the function and plan, manage and consult on multipleplex and critical strategic projects, which may be business wide..

Or for an individual contributor, they lead organisation wide projects and act as deep technical expert and thought leader, identifying new ways of working and collaborating cross functionally. 9. Provide expert advice to senior functional management andmittees to influence decisions made outside of own function, offering significant input to function wide strategic initiatives.
10. Manage, coordinate and enable resourcing, budgeting and policy creation for a significant sub-function.
11. Escalates breaches of policies / procedure appropriately.
12. Foster and guidepliance, ensure regulations are observed that relevant processes in place to facilitate adherence.
13. Focus on the external environment, regulators, or advocacy groups to both monitor and influence on behalf of Barclays, when appropriate.
14. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division / Group to achieve the overall business objectives.
15. Maintain broad andprehensive knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline alongside up-to-date relevant sector / functional knowledge, and insight into external market developments / initiatives.
16. Use interpretative thinking and advanced analytical skills to solve problems and design solutions in oftenplex/ sensitive situations.
17. Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or rmendations within own area.
18. Negotiate with and influence stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally.
19. Act as principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions/ businesses divisions.
20. Mandated as a spokesperson for the function and business division.

The key responsibilities will be:
• Support the impact assessment of changes to laws, regulations and guidance on the financial crime control framework including impact on Policy and Standards.
• Oversight of dispensations, waivers and breaches process, including assessing, granting and monitoring exemptions
• Define and maintain associated KRIs for monitoring adherence across each of the Standards.
• Own and maintain AML risk assessment frameworks, including Transaction Monitoring Risk Assessment
• Overseepletion of, and provide advisory support to 1LOD in thepletion of their risk assessments
