Change Lives.</b></p><p>SMKT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a therapist with a passion for supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.</p><p>Working across our schools, you will play a vital role in helping students develop the communication, language, emotional regulation, and social interaction skills they need to thrive both academically and personally.</p><h3>The Role</h3><ul><li>Assess, plan, and deliver high-quality speech and language therapy interventions.</li><li>Support pupils with speech, language, communication, and social interaction needs.</li><li>Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, families, and external agencies.</li><li>Develop strategies to support emotional regulation, social communication, and positive engagement in learning.</li><li>Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and annual reviews.</li><li>Deliver staff training and provide specialist advice to enhance inclusive practice.</li><li>Be an active member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.</li></ul><h3>We are looking for someone who:</h3><ul><li>Is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC and RCSLT.</li><li>Has experience working with children and young people.</li><li>Has an interest in, or experience supporting, pupils with SEMH needs.</li><li>Understands the relationship between communication difficulties, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and learning.</li><li>Is committed to achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable learners.</li><li>Has excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.</li></ul><h3>What We Offer</h3><ul><li>A supportive and forward-thinking trust committed to inclusion.</li><li>Opportunities to shape and develop therapeutic provision across our schools.</li><li>Ongoing professional development and specialist training.
