A forward-thinking and supportive secondary school in Coventry is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2025 through to July 2026. This is an ideal opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on classroom experience while supporting students across the core curriculum.
Your Role – Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant
In this role, you will:
* Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons, particularly in Maths, English, and Science
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils progress academically and boost their confidence
* Assist with lesson preparation, behaviour management, and day-to-day classroom organisation
* Offer tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Help to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Build essential experience for future teacher training or further study in education
Who We’re Looking For
This opportunity is ideal for graduates who:
* Hold (or are predicted) a 2:1 degree or above in a core subject, such as Maths, English, or Science
* Are passionate about education and enthusiastic about supporting young people
* Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Are proactive, reliable, and committed to their professional development
* Can commit to full-time work from October 2025 to July 2026
* Have some experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, coaching), although this is not essential
