Are you a calm, compassionate, and committed individual with previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, ready to make a real impact in the lives of autistic young people?

Quokka Education is proud to be supporting a Top 10 secondary school in Hampshire, known for its inclusive ethos, outstanding leadership, and excellent SEND provision, in their search for a Grade C Learning Support Assistant, specialising in Autism to join their dedicated team.

This is a Grade C position, so the school is ideally looking for someone with previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar classroom support role.

About the Role:
- Support students in class, focusing on those with autism and more complex needs
- Deliver 1:1 or small group interventions to help develop social, emotional, and learning skills
- Build strong, consistent relationships as a keyworker for select students
- Work closely with teachers, families, and external professionals to ensure personalised support
- Develop and share effective strategies to support autistic learners
- Contribute to a collaborative, pupil-centred SEND team

Who We're Looking For:
- Someone who has previously worked as a Learning Support Assistant or in an SEN support role
- Kind, resilient, and proactive individuals with a genuine passion for supporting young people
- Strong communication skills and a flexible, positive approach to meeting individual needs
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- A good sense of humour and a team-focused mindset
- An interest in building a long-term career in SEND, education, or child psychology

Role Details:
- Location: Winchester, Hampshire
- Contract Type: Permanent, Term-Time only (34 hours/week)
- Salary: Grade C - £24,405 to £25,430
- Actual Salary (Term Time): £19,183 to £19,988
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:00pm. term time only.
