One of our clients in the Construction sector is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to head up a newly restructured division. This exciting role will oversee environmental operations including asbestos removal, delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality services to a diverse client base across the UK. The successful candidate could be an experienced contracts or project manager willing to step up into a more senior management role.
Minimum requirements:
* Proven track record in asbestos removal management at a senior level
* Strong understanding of UK asbestos regulations and industry best practice
* Operational leadership experience managing multiple concurrent projects
* Commercial acumen with a history of winning and retaining contracts
* Excellent people management and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Be based in London/Home Counties
The role
As the Head of Environmental Services, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and business development of the Environmental Division which covers the remediation of asbestos, mould removal and legionella. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring full compliance with UK regulations and delivering outstanding service to our clients. The role has the potential to develop into that of a full Board Director in time.
Responsibilities
The role will include the following specific tasks:
* Lead and manage asbestos removal operations, ensuring compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
* Drive the diversification of division's offerings
* Oversee licensing, audits, and inspections to maintain operational readiness.
* Develop and maintain client relationships, securing repeat business and new opportunities.
* Manage budgets, forecasts, and divisional performance targets.
* Ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental performance.
* Lead and mentor the team to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
* Business development
* Client and stakeholder liaison
