About The Company

Cavendish View School provides a nurturing and stimulating education for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (A.S.C) and special education needs (S.E.N) from the ages of 5 to 11 years.

We provide every child with an exceptional educational experience that is enjoyable, stimulating, and supportive, enabling them to reach their full potential. Although we are a small school, we have big ideas and do not set limits on what our children can aspire to and achieve. Our goal is to give the children at Cavendish View School a window on the wider world.

Pupils benefit from a multi-disciplinary team consisting of teachers, a family liaison officer, teaching assistants, a speech and language therapist, an occupational therapist, and a mental health practitioner.

About You

About The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support Cavendish School in Liverpool with students aged 5-11 years with Autism Spectrum Condition (A.S.C) and special education needs (S.E.N).

Responsibilities

* To support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education for all students.
* To provide relevant and appropriate support to students, individually or in groups, to enable them to access the curriculum independently.
* To assist in organising the classroom, resources, student groupings, and displays to create a stimulating learning environment suitable for students with ASC, SCLN, or complex needs.
* Work with and manage sensory needs, implementing a ‘sensory diet’ and self-regulatory strategies as advised by the professional team.
* Assist learners in developing or refining their independence skills, including personal care elements.
