Join the Greggs Finance team as an Accounts Receivable Administrator. We're looking for a detail-focused and proactive Accounts Receivable specialist to join our team at Greggs. In this role, you'll play a key part in managing accounts for our valued franchise and wholesale customers, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collections. About the role

11. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) however flexibility in this will be considered
12. We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
13. The base location for this role is Greggs House, Quorum Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE12 8BU

What you'll do

As Accounts Receivable Administrator you’ll:

14. Manage franchise and wholesale customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
15. Monitor outstanding balances and follow up overdue payments in line with compnay credit terms
16. Process incoming payment and allocate them correctly in our SAP system
17. Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing or payment issues promptly
18. Maintain strong working relationships with franchise and wholesales partners through clear and professional communication
19. Prepare regular reports on accounts status, aged debt, and cash collections performance
20. Contribute to continuous improvement of accounts receivable processes and systems

About you

You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:

21. Strong attention to detail - essential for accurate invoicing, payment allocation, and account reconciliation

22. Excellent communication skills - to build relationships and professionally manage payment discussion with customers

23. Good organisational and time management skills - to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively

24. Analytical thinking - to spot discrepancies, investigate issues, and identify process improvements

25. Team player- works well with colleagues across finance and operations

26. Resilience and persistence - comfortable with following up on overdue accounts while maintaining professionalism

27. Proficiency in Excel - confident using spreadsheets for reporting, analysis and reconciliations

28. Good knowledge of accounting/finance systems - experience with ERP or accounting software is a plus
