Assistant Psychologist - Band 4 - 0.5 WTE (18.75 hours per week) - Permanent
We are pleased to advertise a permanent Assistant Psychologist position in our Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU) at UHNM hospital. The ACCU has expanded its multidisciplinary team to include psychology services for patients, staff wellbeing, and family support. This development has led to a specialized Critical Care Psychology Team, comprising a Consultant Psychologist, Principal Psychologists, Senior Clinical Psychologist, and Assistant Psychologists.
We seek a motivated assistant psychologist to support psychological services across the care pathway, including:
* Providing structured interventions for low mood and anxiety under supervision
* Offering psycho-education to at-risk patients
* Administering and evaluating assessment and screening tools
* Supporting service development and evaluation
Experience working with adults with physical or mental health issues is essential. Experience in multidisciplinary teams is advantageous.
The role involves supporting and enhancing psychological care through assessments, interventions, administration, audits, research, and teaching, within the team's policies and procedures.
