A day in the life of…
As our Hotel Reservations & Sales Manager, you will be the face of our hotel to potential clients. You’ll use your excellent communication and negotiation skills to generate revenue by selling our services and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include identifying potential clients, negotiating contracts, creating sales strategies in collaboration with marketing and operations teams, maintaining positive relationships with existing clients, tracking industry trends, and providing regular reports to senior management. You will also manage the Reservations Team, ensuring group and transient reservations are efficiently managed.
What do we need from you?
* Sales experience: Prior sales experience in hospitality is essential, familiar with the sales process, lead generation, proposal creation and deal closing. Comfortable producing group proposals, negotiating contracts and explaining complex concepts simply.
* Revenue drive: Ability to manage all aspects of Sales & Marketing for the hotel locally, nationally and internationally, including social media and marketing campaigns.
* New business development: Identify and proactively solicit new business, manage key accounts and agents to increase revenue and share in line with the hotel’s sales and revenue management strategies.
* Reservation management: Formulate and implement reservation strategies to maximise potential and competitive share; experience managing group and transient bookings preferred, full training provided.
* Financial forecasting: Assist the Revenue Manager with weekly financial forecasts.
* Pricing & selling strategy: Use statistical data to set future pricing and selling strategies for group and transient accommodation, manage inventory strategies.
* Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; articulate the hotel’s value proposition clearly and confidently to clients.
* Teamwork: Work collaboratively with marketing, operations, and finance to achieve common goals.
* Organisation & attention to detail: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks effectively.
