Due to the nature of the role, candidates will need to hold an Active SC Clearance.
This role will require someone who can work onsite in Cambridge 2-3 days a week.
Job Description Summary
You will be helping to support the currently installed LAN, WAN and remote access systems, second and third line responsibilities for troubleshooting and resolving network issues.
Also supporting other IT departments in deploying new systems to ensure their objectives with relation to appropriate network access are met.
Responding to serious security, infrastructure or integrity issues which affect the ability of the business to operate.
Duties will include:
Configuring, deploying and maintaining network switches and routers
Low level physical and logical network troubleshooting
Use and develop existing monitoring tools to enhance monitoring of network availability and reporting on network utilisation
Implementing new connectivity to support various requirements coming from the business and IT department.
Support all network, firewall and communication links that provide remote access to MA systems and help others to resolve issues which may/may not be caused by network access
Work with service providers, resellers and support companies, assist other IT personnel and support end users directly when required.
