Role: Finance Business Partner REF 1704998 Contract Length: 6 months Location: Hybrid/Redditch – 2 days per week in office IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: £500 per day Spinwell is recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for an excellent opportunity within the public sector. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER To assist the Senior Finance Business Partner with the preparation of annual revenue estimates, the monitoring of income and expenditure and annual closedown of accounts for Redditch Borough Council and Bromsgrove District Council. To provide financial support to the allocated Head(s) of Service, responding to ad hoc and routine requests for assistance / information. To provide support with the Council’s cashflow, banking and money market transactions for Redditch Borough Council and Bromsgrove District Council, with regard to the Treasury Management policy of each Authority. To provide support to the management of the Capital Programme budgets, including monitoring income and expenditure, co-ordination of capital bids, completion of government returns and annual closedown of accounts. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER Knowledge and understanding of key accounting principles Experience of budget preparation and final accounts closedown Experience of producing management information on a regular basis Working knowledge of Tech One or similar Working knowledge of Excel and Word Experience of budget monitoring Experience of completing financial and statistical returns AAT qualification or equivalent Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team Ability to work in a complex financial environment Flexibility in carrying out a range of duties according to the needs of customers Ability to prioritise workloads and meets key objectives/measures IT literate Ability to readily understand technical information Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with people from finance and non-finance backgrounds If you are a Finance Business Partner, apply now or send your CV to Spinwell!
