Airdrie Community Health Clinic

The Role

1. Takes a lead role for a designated clinical area with a caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge. Has responsibility for the supervision, education and development of more junior staff, physiotherapy support workers and students within the speciality.
2. Provides a specialised resource to other healthcare staff/patients/carers.
3. Has active involvement in Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research.

What we'll need you to bring

4. Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
5. Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
6. Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
7. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
8. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice.
9. Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery.
10. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
11. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
12. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Effective time management skills.
14. Working knowledge of basic information technology.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

16. Membership of relevant special interest group
17. Multi-disciplinary working
18. Research and audit
19. Experience or interest in specialist area as detailed in role profile for this post

Contract type

Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months.

Part Time

21 hours

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in ENT Vestibular within Airdrie Community Health Clinic.
