Job Role: Teaching Assistant – Hindley

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (with the option to become permanent)
A nurturing primary school in Hindley is looking to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with children and supporting them to achieve their best.
About the Role:
* Work alongside class teachers to support daily learning activities.
* Provide help to individual pupils and small groups to reinforce understanding.
* Assist with setting up lessons, preparing resources, and keeping the classroom organised.
* Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, purposeful learning atmosphere.
* Support pupils with varying needs to ensure everyone can access the curriculum.
* Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to the smooth running of the school day.
* Take part in wider school activities and contribute to the school community.
What We’re Looking For:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary school.
* A solid understanding of the primary curriculum and how to support learning effectively.
* Someone patient, proactive, and able to adapt to different situations.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* A warm, approachable manner and a genuine interest in children’s development.
