Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merger and Acquisition Expert to lead and oversee strategic M&A initiatives in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of renewable energy markets, financial analysis, deal structuring, and integration processes. You will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and executing transactions that align with our organization’s growth and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Planning and Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential targets within the renewable energy industry. Develop and execute M&A strategies that align with the company’s objectives for growth and sustainability.
* Deal Origination and Evaluation: Identify potential M&A targets, partnerships, and joint ventures in the renewable energy space. Perform rigorous financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence on potential deals. Evaluate risks, synergies, and the strategic fit of acquisition opportunities.
* Negotiation and Deal Structuring: Lead negotiations to structure deals that maximize value for the organization. Collaborate with legal, tax, and financial advisors to ensure compliance and optimal transaction outcomes.
* Integration and Post-Merger Management: Oversee post-merger integration to achieve strategic objectives and operational synergies. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of assets, technology, and personnel.
* Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite executives, investors, and regulatory authorities. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for executive decision-making and board review.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years in renewable asset transactions (PV/solar), with a proven track record of successful investment or divestment.
* Familiar with renewable energy lifecycle, especially from development stage up to RTB.
* Located in Europe/UK, ideally London or Germany.
* Familiar with financial modeling. Fundraising and project financing are a plus.
* Preferred background: fund, developer.
* Proficiency in English. Chinese is a plus.
