This position is for a casual (Bank) member, who would be looking to pick up extra hours in line with their current employment. Mostly be on hand to cover sickness and annual leave, evenings and weekends, as and when required.
This position will predominantly cover our locations in Cleveleys but there will be scope to pick up extra shifts at our Fulwood Location.
Full Driving license is essential.
Your role as a support worker will largely consist of spending time with the children we look after and safeguarding them. You will always be working with a team leader/shift leader who will help you strengthen your knowledge and skill set on the job.
A typical day will consist of taking young people to and from school, encouraging engagement in activities, such as going to the cinema, to the gym, bowling, theme parks and most general activities that children and young teens enjoy.
The company Safety and Focused Care are looking for individuals who are very personable, work well in a team, self motivated, outgoing, enjoy activities and most importantly have the childs best interest at heart.
Other duties will include elements of paperwork such as writing daily reports summarising how the day has gone, keyworking conversations, cooking meals and keeping the home clean and tidy.

The typical hours on shift will be 8am-11pm followed by sleeping at the home (Sleeps) and a handover the following morning at 8am.
These sleeps are paid at £60 each.

Job Title:Residential Casual Team Member
Reports to: More senior member of staff at the home, ultimately the Manager
Main Purpose of Job
To be part of a team offering a comprehensive residential service to children and young people. The aim being to ensure the physical, social and emotional well-being of the children and young people, and assist in their positive holistic development and resilience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· To actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the children/young people.
· To report immediately any unsafe practices and conditions.
· To carry out duties in line with the company's policies and procedures.
· To work in accordance with the Children's Homes Regulations, other statutory guidance, and co-operate with any inspection process.
· To promote structure, boundaries and routines within the home.
· Provide a positive role model for the young people, presenting oneself in a highly
professional manner.
· Work in line with young peoples' care and placement plans.
· As required work with young people on intervention strategies to promote pro-social
behaviour.
· To undertake the role of a key worker for children/young people.
· To deliver direct and individual work to children/young people.
· Support young people in project and group work.
· Provide and participate in leisure activities in line with the care and placement plans of the young people.
· Work in partnership with colleagues, other agencies and professionals to meet the needs of young people.
· Develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, children/young people and families.
· Participate in and complete reports for, statutory reviews and meetings concerning the young people where required.
· Complete and maintain administrative records as required by the home.
· Undertake relevant training programmes as required by governing regulation, guidance, and the Company.
· Attend and participate in supervision and staff meetings as required by governing regulations.
· Have awareness and take shared responsibility for the health and safety of the home, children, young people, colleagues and oneself.
· Co-operate with the Company in complying with the Health and Safety requirements and therefore follow Company policies.
· Take responsibility for having sound working knowledge of key procedures including
Safeguarding, Fire, and Health and Safety Procedures at your place of work.
