Job Role: Workshop Engineer
Location: Bristol, Avon
Salary: £38,000-£45,000 base salary
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 06:30 – 18:00, Friday 06:30 – 16:00
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Client:
Interaction Technical has partnered with a well-established national plant hire firm to support their team expansion. Our client is looking to onboard an engineer from plant, HGV, or agricultural backgrounds. They offer a comprehensive training scheme with the opportunity to go into a field role in the future.

Responsibilities:
8. Maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment in the workshop
9. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
10. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations
11. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
12. Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices
13. Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting
14. Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance
15. 80/20 workshop based role, so sometimes it will be required of you to attend the clients site and carry out any necessary repairs or services, once competent
Requirements:
16. Previous experience in the plant, HGV, or agricultural industry (essential)
17. Experience with hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems (essential)
18. Experience working on engines (advantageous)
19. Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair, and service experience
20. A desire to lead, manage, and grow a team
21. Relevant qualifications (NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering) (advantageous)
22. Full UK Driver's License
