Role
Rigid HGV Class 2 Driver
Based at our Wolverhampton yard (WV1 2HS), you will operate rigid HGV Class 2 vehicles for hazardous waste collection, driving all-round the UK. It involves hand ball and physical work with occasional nights out required 1-3 a week depending on work.
Shift Pattern
* Day shift, Monday–Friday, 40 contracted hours per week. Flexible start (4:00 am – 6:00 am). Occasional night work may be required.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate Class 2 HGVs for bin collection and delivery.
* Be able to work on initiative.
* Follow planning routes.
* Perform daily vehicle safety checks.
* Provide excellent customer service.
Essential Requirements
* Valid UK Category C licence + current Driver CPC.
* Digital tachograph card.
* Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations.
* Excellent communication and customer focus.
* Physically fit for manual handling.
* Committed to safety, sustainability, and teamwork.
* ADR certification preferred (training available).
What We Offer
* Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour.
* Overtime: 1.5x rate (£21.00/hour) for hours over 45 per week. (Typical 50-55 hour week: Approx. £840 - £924 gross before bonuses).
* Daily Bonuses:
o £10.00 Early Start Bonus (before 4:30 am).
o £3.00 Meal Allowance a day.
o Total Daily Bonus Potential: £13.00 (£65.00 per week based on 5 days).
* Night Work Allowance: £26.50 per night when required.
* Additional Benefits: Company-paid HGV parking/meal allowances (night work), 1 hour paid break daily, full PPE/uniform, training opportunities (ADR), 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays (increases to 25 days), modern fleet.
