A quick look at the role.
This position is a supervisory role, involving all aspects of the facility including mobile plant when required.
The role involves supervising the Transfer Station operations, ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance, and delivering excellent customer service according to business KPIs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing leadership, assigning work, and monitoring team performance.
* Managing, motivating, training, and developing staff.
* Addressing underperformance and implementing disciplinary actions as needed.
* Managing absences and conducting return-to-work interviews.
* Overseeing mobile plant operations, liaising with suppliers for maintenance.
* Ensuring compliance with environmental laws and site permits.
* Contributing to cost control and efficiency improvements.
* Adhering to health and safety protocols, including training and incident reporting.
* Delivering safety briefings and incident reports timely.
* Handling administrative tasks like site checks, sales orders, and stock counts.
* Ensuring adequate staffing coverage, including overtime and holiday rotas.
* Maintaining good relationships with customers.
* Deputizing for the Operations Manager and other duties as assigned.
