Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Design and Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, particularly in automotive conversion industry and will play a crucial role in enhancing production efficiency and product quality.
This position requires a blend of mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Vacancy:
The role is based on site in Fishponds, Bristol, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm. The salary is between £32,000 - £40,000 (£15.50ph ph) depending on experience.
Duties:
* Design and develop production projects.
* Generation of documentation required for manufacturing.
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in the production process and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance tooling and equipment used in production.
* Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce waste.
* Interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide the manufacturing process.
* Provide technical support during the production phase, troubleshooting any mechanical issues that arise.
* Maintain accurate documentation of processes, changes, and improvements.
Qualifications
* Strong mechanical knowledge of assembling, welding, and fabricating components.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software for designing components.
* Experience with root cause analysis techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across various departments.
* A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if relevant experience is demonstrated.
