Coach Development Lead & Barclays Girls' Football Partnership Lead
1. Location: Somerset FA HQ, Glastonbury (with some home working and occasional travel to SASP HQ, Wellington)
2. Hours: 35 hours per week (some evenings and weekends required)
3. Contract: Fixed Term until June 2028
4. Salary: £25,000 (starting salary)
About the Role
Somerset FA, in partnership with SASP, is seeking a passionate and driven individual to lead coach development across the county while driving the growth of girls' football through the Barclays Girls' Football Partnership.

6. Leading high-quality coach development programmes that create positive environments for every player.
7. Delivering innovative opportunities for girls to learn, play, lead, and compete through football in schools and community settings.
The successful candidate will work with a range of stakeholders including coaches, clubs, schools, volunteers, and national partners, helping to shape the future of football for all.
About the Candidate
Somerset FA is looking for someone who is enthusiastic about football development and possesses the skills to inspire and support others.
Essential qualifications and experience:
8. Educated to A Level (or equivalent)
9. UEFA B (or working towards)
10. Coach development experience, ideally within grassroots football
11. Experience supporting adult learning
12. Strong project management, communication and partnership skills
13. Knowledge of safeguarding, inclusion and equality in sport
14. Full, clean driving licence
15. Enhanced DBS check (required)
Desirable:
16. Two years' sports development experience
17. Youth Module qualification
18. Knowledge of The FA's Grassroots Football Strategy and CPD Framework
