The role
The surveyor will support the team by delivering land management tasks, assisting Registered Valuers with a range of rural valuations, and supporting professional staff with a varied workload including renewable developments, utility projects (acting for landowners and tenants), property sales and lettings among many other jobs.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Oversee agricultural, commercial and residential property and estate management for a diverse range of clients.
* Deliver land and property advice and services to and on behalf of clients.
* Deliver a range of tasks and/or schemes to a high standard using initiative and a proactive approach to ensure client deadlines and objectives are met.
* Develop strong working relationships with client personnel, and internal and external stakeholders including contractors, consultants and landowners/occupiers.
* Deliver long‑term property and asset management strategies, including managing capital and operational budgets and client investment programmes.
* Maintain and improve client relationships by upholding quality standards.
* Be commercially aware, maintain good records and comprehensive files to provide regular client updates, and ensure compliance with Company procedures.
* Support the delivery of a diverse and exciting portfolio of projects. Applicants should be comfortable working on multiple projects at different stages of development and excel at keeping projects moving forward efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills
* Graduate, ideally in an RICS accredited degree, but we also support those keen to develop and willing to complete additional relevant postgraduate training.
* Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
* Great IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word packages and GIS platforms.
* Ability to manage multiple projects.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Have a full UK driving licence with access to a car and be willing to travel to site and project locations.
* Be a team player and have a can‑do attitude.
