The Director Rewards is responsible for shaping and leading the compensation and benefit strategy for the EMEA region to attract, retain, engage, and motivate employees. This position reports to the Global Vice President Total Rewards based in the US. This role requires someone who is analytical, creative and thoughtful and enjoys working with data. Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, high-growth culture and is able to rolls up their sleeves to execute the details while thinking longer-term.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the development of reward programs that are scalable and competitive, enabling the attraction and retention of top talent, and aligning with culture and business strategy, including compensation structures, regional benefits programs, incentive and equity plans and recognition programs.
* Support Global Vice President and Chief People Officer with the preparation of compensation and benefits presentation materials to the Executive Leadership Team.
* Conduct market research, analysis and recommend adjustments to ensure our current benefits and pay practices are competitive, compliant, and relevant.
* Direct the development, implementation and administration of various employee benefit plans (union and non-union) and statutory and private pension programs.
* Assess and maintain global / regional benefits programs, salary structures and overall compensation administration (e.g. maintaining job descriptions).
* Provide subject matter expertise and accurately interpret, counsel, communicate, and educate employees, managers, and leaders on rewards programs (e.g pay decisions, policy interpretation, and job evaluations).
* Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to drive employee awareness and understanding of all compensation and benefit programs.
* Assess and recommend enhancements to existing programs, policies, and processes for both short-term and longer-term business needs and goals.
* Support acquisition activity related to compensation and benefits.
* Support the performance management process, collaborating with HRIS, People Partners and Talent Strategy Partners and Talent to integrate with compensation process – annual compensation planning, salary increases, bonuses, promotions, equity grants and other adjustments.
* Develop and lead training and communications for total rewards (e.g. Broadbase pay philosophy, incentive compensation programs or annual enrollment).
* Develop and manage budgets, financial projections, and analyses for current programs and potential changes; analyses quarterly claims dashboards, plan design and presents findings to senior leaders providing insights and recommendations
* Keeps abreast of external environment for emerging trends, regulatory changes, best practices, and provides highlights to management as appropriate. Responsible for on-going benchmarking of best practices and develops tools to measure program success and ROI
* Ensures compliance with all government regulations
* Spearhead special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* 10 years experience from: compensation, benefits, HR, HRIS or finance
* Deep knowledge of compensation and benefits best practices, trends, and regulations
* Advance Excel Skills to direct and build complex models
* Experience with M&A transactions and integration
* People leadership experience from smaller teams (coaching, teaching, and guiding of senior team members)
* Ability to collaborate and operate at pace as part of a small team in a high-growth
business environment
* Strong business acumen
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions and ability to present that
* Work independently and effectively manages projects from inception through execution in
a fast-paced, ever changing environment
