Overview
Exciting opportunity has become available at your local Bosch workshop, where you will have the chance to learn all aspects of the Autocare Technician role while working as an apprentice. If you're passionate about cars, Bosch will provide you with top-tier training on the latest products and innovations. Dedicated trainers will support you in building your knowledge and developing your skills. Training will be provided both on the job and at the Bosch Training Centre in Denham. We ask for your full commitment to the Apprenticeship Programme, along with the passion and ambition to grow into a skilled Autocare Technician. There may also be the opportunity to progress to a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship upon successful completion of the Level 2 Autocare Technician standard. To qualify, you will need a grade 2 or above in Maths and English at GCSE level (or equivalent). Unless otherwise agreed, this apprenticeship will begin when our next intake starts in Autumn 2025.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include learning the fundamentals of specific vehicle systems, including but not limited to:
* Steering & Suspension
Assessments will be conducted in the workplace by a dedicated training assessor. You will be assigned a workplace mentor for support in the dealership.
Qualifications
* GCSE or equivalent grade 4 or above in Maths & English
* Interest in the automotive industry (essential)
* No specific skills required, but an interest in the automotive industry is essential.
Training and Availability
College-based training will be delivered away from home and you will be required to stay in a hotel for 15 weeks (Mon - Fri) over the 24- to 30-month duration of the apprenticeship. All associated costs for training are met by the employer/programme with no cost to you or your guardians.
Progression
There may be an opportunity to progress to the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship upon successful completion of the Level 2 Autocare Technician standard.
Additional Details
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), FGAS (Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases), Basic Electric Vehicle Awareness, Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service, Parts and Stock Management.
Upon successful completion, you will be awarded the Level 2 Autocare Technician qualification.
