An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join The Medical and Performance Department at Norwich City Football Club in the role of First Team Rehabilitation Performance Coach.

This is a hybrid rehab/performance role working in the first team medical and performance department. The successful candidate will support the full MDT team of medical and performance staff, with the creation, and delivery of both gym and field-based rehabilitation programmes, whilst assisting with the performance squad requirements for training and match days as required.

The successful candidate will assist with providing elite level physical conditioning work for players to maximise their rehabilitation process and optimal return to performance, in line with the Club’s philosophy.

They will also assist in the prescription, progression, and adaptation of elite-level gym programming for rehabilitating players.

If appropriately qualified (e.g., as a therapist), there may be opportunities to assist with the assessment and treatment of first-team rehabilitation players.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Assist in the design and delivery of individualised pitch-based rehabilitation sessions.
* Work collaboratively with the Physiotherapist’s/Therapists and physical performances coaches to ensure the progression of treatment room, to gym, to pitch RTT is seamless and progressive.
* Demonstrate strong physiological and biomechanical knowledge to ensure program progressions of gym and grass-based rehab are performed to the highest level.
* Have strong experience of technological systems and how such systems link to the physiology of football, including styles of play and positional demands.
* Proven experience of communicating and disseminating knowledge and information of rehabilitation progressions within a high-performance environment.
* Ensure data collection is maintained to the highest standard and utilised in a rational and objective manner.
* Support the sustainability process of players RTP.
* Assist with individual performance support work for the 1st team squad where required in training and match days.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

* BSc in Physiotherapy, Sport & Exercise Science or Sports Rehabilitation.
* MSc in Sports Rehab, Sport & Exercise Science, S & C or related subject to the role.
* Experienced in elite sport delivering high performance rehabilitation training.
* Evidence of planning and delivering rehabilitation programming in an elite sport environment.

Desirable

* BASES Accreditation
* UEFA B/A Licence
* UKSCA Accredited
* HCPC & CSP or BASRaT registered
* ATMMIF or equivalent emergency aid qualification
