Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and loss prevention measures. Responsibilities
* Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or vandalism.
* Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and other security equipment.
* Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary.
* Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety and security protocols.
* Maintain detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities observed during shifts.
* Liaise with Emergency services as required.
* Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behaviour and implementing preventative measures.
* Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions or damages.
Skills
* Proven experience in surveillance, CCTV operation, or loss prevention is desirable.
* Knowledge of first aid procedures and the ability to administer basic medical assistance if required.
* Strong observational skills with an eye for detail to identify potential security threats.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting incidents clearly.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies.
* Organised with a professional demeanour, demonstrating integrity and discretion at all times. This role is essential for maintaining a safe environment within our organisation, requiring a proactive approach combined with excellent organisational skills. Pay: £12.75-£13.05 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 48 per week
