Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Admissions Coordinator with Inpatient Surgical procedure Booking and Pathway tracking knowledge to join our friendly Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team.

You will need to provide an efficient, effective quality administration service to patients and staff, as well as providing a full surgical booking co-ordinator role within the team. This will involve dealing with Adult & Paediatric patients, liaising with families / patients, hospital staff, arranging pre-assessments and booking Inpatient Procedures.

You will be responsible for the comprehensive tracking of patients RTT’s, therefore a knowledge of all NHS targets including 18 week and Cancer Pathways is desirable for this role.

You must be capable of working independently while exercising personal initiative and able to organize your work load to meet the changes in demand within the service.

Knowledge is desirable but training on all aspects of the role will be given. You must be able to uphold the Trust values of Safe, Kind and Excellent at all times.

Some Flexible working and hybrid working is available for this role. Full and part time would be considered.

You will be responsible for the scheduling of inpatient procedures, working closely with staff at all levels both internally and externally. Proactively manage Patient waiting times, registration and booking of all patients in line with Trust Policies and Procedures, National targets and paying particular attention to the 18 week Referral to Treatment targets and cancer targets.
