Senior Procurement Officer
Rate - £500 (A Day)
Duration - 6 Months (Initially)
Location - London (Hybrid)
IR35 - Inside (Must use an umbrella company)
Responsibilities
* Help deliver the procurement strategy and policy across the organisation.
* Support the Procurement Team by providing advice and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders.
* Take ownership of procurement projects (RfQs and RfPs) and run full tenders which can range between £30k and £Ms.
* Maintain our procurement systems; Workday (P2P), Jaggaer (e-Procurement tools) and Hornbill (procurement ticketing system).
* Procurement Business Partner for Customer Connect & Workspaces and Communications - ownership and relationship management for both Directorates.
* Maintain and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders and Executive Team members on procurement projects and initiatives.
* Draft documents such as procurement strategies, tender evaluation reports and Single Tender Actions and contribute to Business Cases and Business Justification documents.
* Manage our procurement tools; Workday, Jaggaer and Hornbill with responsibility for maintenance, improvements, integration with external systems such as the government's Central Digital Platform.
* Draft tender documents, configure and run tender events on our e-procurement tool - Jaggaer.
* Manage procurement projects and RfPs for a wide range of services.
* Analyse information from various sources and use your skills to identify opportunities to source alternative suppliers and reduce costs.
* Keep knowledge up to date as procurement legislation evolves.
* Take personal responsibility for delivering on objectives in line with our values.
Your experience includes
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular manipulating complex data in Excel as well as a range of e-sourcing and procurement tools.
* Strong knowledge and experience of public sector procurement and attainment of CIPS L6 accreditation.
* Experience in running large open procurement competitions and call-off contracts through the use of existing public sector frameworks and understanding of the UK Public Contracts Regulations.
* Using strong numeracy and MS Excel skills to analyse data and draft quarterly reports for the Exec Team and Board.
* Strong communications skills to guide a range of internal and external stakeholders through processes and the ability to run training sessions as required.
* Stakeholder management skills with the ability to deliver difficult messages.
* Being inquisitive and able to think logically — understand and identify with our key stakeholder needs and queries and provide accurate advice.
* Ability to juggle several pieces of work at once and work on a range of projects simultaneously.
* Using initiative to identify areas where systems and processes can be improved.
* Working well with colleagues and being a good team player.
