Job Summary
Administrative Assistant (part‑time, 34 hrs/week) covering four Merseyside units: Liverpool City Centre, Aigburth, St Helen’s and Warrington. Regular travel between the units is required.
About the Role
Provide efficient and friendly administration within a busy office and reception environment, ensuring clients feel accepted, supported and confident about BPAS services.
Responsibilities
* Answer and direct telephone queries, liaising with internal and external colleagues.
* Accurately check or complete BPAS and legal paperwork, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for the client’s episode of care.
* Monitor, edit and amend appointment lists using the BPAS booking system, informing clients of any necessary changes.
* Control and order stock, sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare and dispatch statistical information and reports.
Additional Skills We’re Looking For
* Experience dealing face‑to‑face with upset patients in a care environment.
* Knowledge of clerical procedures, including checking documentation, telephone and reception duties.
* Excellent attention to detail, supportive attitude and strong teamwork.

Salary and Working Pattern
£23,886 to £26,910 a year pro rata – depending on skills and experience (48 % part‑time rate of £12.76‑£14.38 ph). Work schedule: 34 hours per week across the four units – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 08:00‑17:00. One unit will be your base; mileage will be paid for the other three.

Qualifications & Experience – Essential
* Administration experience in an office environment and general office duties.
* Experience with clerical procedures, including checking documentation.
* Experience in telephone and reception procedures.
* English and Maths qualification either GCSE A‑C or Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE 4* or NVQ Level 2.
* Competent in Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
* Support the right to choose abortion.
Qualifications & Experience – Desirable
* Experience dealing face‑to‑face with upset patients in a care environment.
* Healthcare administration experience.
