A high-achieving and nurturing secondary school in Chipping Norton is recruiting a SENCO to lead its SEND provision from September 2025. This is an ideal role for a qualified and experienced practitioner with a deep commitment to inclusive education and strategic improvement.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will coordinate a strong and well-established team of LSAs, manage statutory SEND processes, and drive excellent outcomes for students with a wide range of needs. This role requires excellent leadership, organisation, and a deeply empathetic approach.
Main Duties:

Lead the development and delivery of high-quality SEND support across KS3–5
*
Coordinate EHCP reviews, provision mapping, and specialist interventions
*
Work with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure individual support plans are robust and effective
*
Provide staff training and lead inclusion strategy across departments
Candidate Essentials:
*
QTS with NASENCO qualification
*
Proven record of improving SEND outcomes and promoting inclusion
*
Knowledge of ASD, SEMH, and SPLD needs essential
*
Strong communication and strategic leadership skills
