Bank Support Worker

We have an opportunity for Bank Support Workers to join our team!

This is a great role for you to continue your career in care or if your new to the care sector we have a comprehensive learning package that will support you in your new role and give you all the tools to do the job!

What you’ll be doing:

1. Supporting people to live independently, this can involve helping the people we support budget their finances, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking.
2. Supporting in the community - Supporting people to access activities and days out.
3. Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living.
4. Be responsible for the safeguarding of the individuals we support.
5. Administering medication when required – full training will be given.

We have an opportunity available for a Bank Support worker at Avondale Lodge based in Port Talbot. Calon Celtiadd provides non-nursing care for individuals with profound learning disabilities and complex, full personal care needs. All residents are non-verbal and non-mobile, supported by consistent staff teams who understand their routines, communication methods and preferences in detail.

What you’ll be doing:

17. Assisting the people, we support within their daily lives to develop new life skills, achieve their ambitions and reach their goals.
18. You will work as part of a team, ensuring a safe and caring supportive environment is maintained, which meets the individual and group needs of the people we support.
19. Assisting with personal care, domestic support and preparing meals.
20. Taking part in activities and supporting residents out in the community.
21. Keeping internal systems updated, reviewing care plans, risk assessments, monthly reports and working as a team to improve the lives of the people we support.

23. Flexibility to cover shifts that include both days and waking nights.
24. A team player with a ‘Can do’ attitude.
