The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership for the assessment and management of adult patients 18 years to 70 years old admitted to Southend Hospital. The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act to Southend Hospital. The team benefits from an experienced consultant in Old Age Psychiatry who would be a supportive colleague of the holder of this post. The post holder is required to be on the specialist register for General Adult Psychiatry (other sub-specialties may be considered in exceptional circumstances). You must have full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register, with an appropriate CCT or equivalent or be within six months of obtaining your CCT on the date of the AAC.
