Purchase Ledger Clerk
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
Location: Near Royston (own transport required)
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week, onsite
Robert Half are working with an established SME business based near Royston who are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
This role will suit someone with previous purchase ledger or accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a close-knit team and is confident taking ownership of their work. Due to the location, you'll need to have your own transport as the office isn't accessible via train links.
Responsibilities include:
* Processing supplier invoices (matching, batching, coding)
* Reconciling supplier statements and dealing with any queries
* Preparing and processing payment runs
* Maintaining accurate records and supporting the month-end process
* Building good relationships with suppliers and internal teams
What we're looking for:
* Background in purchase ledger/accounts payable
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Organised, with the ability to prioritise workload
* A team player with a proactive approach
* Comfortable working on-site full-time
