As a Shop Manager you'll be vital to the ongoing success of Vincent's Retail, focusing on maximizing sales, productivity, revenue opportunities and providing customer service that meets and exceeds our customer's expectations. You'll take ownership of your shop ensuring compliance with the Society's retail standards, health and safety and legislation to create a shopping experience that caters to our wide range of customers and promotes the ethos of the Society.
You'll lead and develop your team comprising of volunteers and paid employees, where applicable to maintain the standards of the shop and achieve targets for business growth.
Set and maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the shop
Strictly apply all policies, procedures and standards and ensure they are maintained
To ensure customer service is of the highest standard and deal with customer complaints efficiently and according to the Customer Service Policy
Implement and control adequate security systems for the protection of staff, stock and cash
Carry out stocktaking where necessary and report results
The ideal candidate will possess the following;
1. Holds five GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C or above.
2. Proven experience in stock control.
3. Proven experience in customer service delivery.
4. Proven experience in financial matters, including cash reconciliation.
5. Proficient in IT – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
6. Flexible 'can do' attitude, the ability to adapt to change and interact with people.
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience working in retail within the charity sector.
2. Experience of merchandising within the retail environment.
