Job Title: Head of Humanities Location: South Gloucestershire Pay: Dependent on experience, equivalent to M1–UPS3 plus TLR 2BB Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full time, 32.5 hours per week Start Date: 2026 The opportunity This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an ambitious and values-driven Head of Humanities to lead and shape a high-performing department across Key Stages 3 and 4. You’ll take responsibility for curriculum design, teaching and learning, assessment and standards, while inspiring and supporting a committed team of Humanities teachers. This is a pivotal middle-leadership role with real scope to influence outcomes, culture and student experience. Experience as a History specialist is desirable, but applications are welcomed from candidates across the Humanities disciplines who bring strong subject knowledge and a shared commitment to excellence and inclusion.
