Hambleton Farms, an independent owner-run retail food business, are looking for Butchery Assistants to join the team at their location at Gates Garden Centre in Oakham. Our business has grown significantly over the last 18 years, we have become a multi-award-winning operation, with an enthusiastic and dedicated team of employees, working across 3 (soon to be 4!) retail locations.
Our delis are packed with a large selection of handmade pies, cooked meats, scotch eggs, olives and charcuterie. Our cheese counters are stocked with local, national and internationally sourced cheeses from only the finest producers. Our traditionally trained Butchers serve only the finest cuts of beef, lamb, pork, poultry and game. Our customers really are spoilt for choice!
Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a highly motivated Butchery Assistant to join the established team of Butchers and Deli Assistants. This role is a new role within the team, created to afford the skilled butchers more time to practice their craft - with the postholder taking greater responsibility for serving customers and assisting with the production of the added value range.
