We have an exciting opportunity for detail-oriented and experienced Business Assurance Auditor to join our Business Assurance team at Advance. Advance is a specialist supported housing association that is on an exciting journey to deliver more services and develop more housing for people with learning difficulties, disabilities and supporting people towards greater independent living. This role is pivotal in supporting our quality improvement and compliance goals across housing and support services. You ll conduct audits, assess risks, promote best practices, and help shape a culture of transparency and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with managers and services across multiple regions, helping us stay aligned with internal standards, contractual expectations, and external regulations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement audit programmes aligned with regulations and internal strategy. Lead audits focused on RSH, CQC compliance, and wider assurance across multiple regions. Assess performance and risks, providing practical recommendations to improve compliance and quality. Produce clear audit reports with findings and action plans. Track corrective actions and conduct follow-up audits. Work closely with managers and teams to support accountability and service improvement. Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices. Support and lead areas of the Annual Assurance Plan, including audits and investigations. Advise teams and leaders on RSH compliance and regulatory alignment. Deliver training on compliance, audit readiness, and assurance practices. Lead thematic reviews and investigations to identify and address systemic issues. About the candidate: Professional audit/assurance qualification (e.g. CQI, ACCA, CIA). Proven experience in internal/external audits, compliance, or assurance across varied functions. Background in auditing within social care, supported living, or housing, with knowledge of RSH and CQC standards. Strong report writing and presentation skillsable to communicate complex info clearly. Excellent time management, problem-solving, and coordination skills. Analytical and tech-savvy, with proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and audit tools. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands, South-East, South-West, and London Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Health & Social Care, Housing, Business, Finance). Understanding of safeguarding, RSH, and CQC frameworks, with practical application in assessments. Knowledge of data protection and information governance (e.g. GDPR, Caldicott Principles). Awareness of health & safety auditing in supported living or residential settings. Training in risk management or quality improvement (e.g. ISO 9001). Insight into supported living, tenancy sustainment, and housing scheme operations.
