A lovely new role working for a global household business that owns many brands we all love and use daily. They are seeking an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
This role reports to the Head of Category Management and manages key spend categories such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. Candidates with a broad range of indirect category management experience will be considered.
Role and responsibilities:
* Create strategies to deliver and monitor performance, including annual savings
* Develop group-wide category plans and strategies for alignment, leveraging suppliers to support local offices
* Engage, manage, and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level, utilizing strong market knowledge
* Build relationships with key stakeholders for comprehensive supplier performance knowledge
* Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and feedback
* Demonstrate procurement leadership by living company values and promoting procurement through relationships
* Oversee strategic projects to ensure excellent service and cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Indirect category experience in large, complex businesses
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics & Operations
* Private sector procurement experience, ideally in a global company
* Experience managing complex global projects with Tier 1 & 2 suppliers of significant value
* Confidence in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across regions
* Strategic approach to procurement, suppliers, and business needs
* Excellent communication skills across cultures and countries
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
* MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential
