Cover Supervisor – Northampton Area

Salary: £105 – £120 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team, supporting secondary schools across the Northampton area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, whether you’re a graduate exploring a career in teaching or an experienced education professional seeking a new challenge.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre-prepared work.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure effective classroom management.
* Maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all students.
* Manage student behaviour in line with school policies.
* Support pupils in completing tasks and clarify instructions when needed.
* Provide feedback to teaching staff about student progress and engagement.

Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young people (e.g. in education, coaching, youth work, or tutoring) preferred.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* Ability to adapt quickly to different school settings and age groups.
* A positive, professional, and proactive attitude.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
