Role: Contract Business Analyst
Project: Trading Data Platform (Data Lake & Data Warehouse)

Location: London (hybrid 3 days per week)
Rate: £700–800/d (inside IR35)
Contract: 6 months initial (multiyear scope)
X4 Technology are partnered with a leading global energy trading firm offering the opportunity for a contract Business Analyst to support a major data transformation programme.
This role sits within a strategic data platform initiative focused on the design and build of a cloud-based data lake and enterprise data warehouse, creating a scalable, governed single source of truth for trading, risk and commercial data across the organisation.
The successful Business Analyst will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to shape data models, map complex trading data flows and support the development of both data lake and data warehouse layers
Requirements for the Contract Business Analyst (Trading Data Platform):
* Proven BA background within commodities trading environments
* Strong data warehouse and data lake development project experience
* Experience supporting large-scale data or digital transformation programmes
* Understanding of data architecture, data modelling, ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
This is a 6 month initial contract but with multiyear scope, offering a day rate of £700–800/d inside IR35. Interviews are being lined up shortly.
