Overview
The Global Business Unit Demand Planner is responsible for creating an accurate, data-driven demand forecast that guides the entire supply chain, directly influencing customer service, inventory investment, and production efficiency. Translating market signals, historical data and business intelligence into a reliable demand plan to enable better decision making across sales, operations and finance — reducing stock-outs, minimizing excess inventory and improving overall profitability and agility for the organization. This position reports to the Senior Director, PSI & Business Analytics and is part of the Global Integrated Supply Chain located in Portsmouth, UK or Bad Kreuznach, Germany and will be an on-site role.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain an accurate statistical and consensus forecast.
* Lead the demand review process within S&OP.
* Identify demand risks and opportunities.
* Monitor forecast accuracy and bias.
* Translate the demand plan into clear and actionable signals for supply planning.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or relevant field.
* Proficiency with planning systems (e.g. Kinaxis Maestro, SAP or other APS tools).
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns and turn insights into actionable forecasts.
* Business acumen and understanding of end-to-end supply chain in a global manufacturing organization.
* Travel up to 25% regionally and internationally.
* Kinaxis Maestro Advanced Planning System is a plus.
* Experience with RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Actions) and Counter Measures (CM) processes and Action Plan implementation is a plus.
Additional Information
* It would be beneficial to have experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or biotechnology supply chains.
