The Role
The Manchester-based Financial Advisory team has led many of the largest and most complex assignments in the region over recent years. Projects include Studio Retail plc, Urban Splash Haus, Missguided Retail, Broadway Fibre LLP. The team has a market-leading advisory presence, working with corporates (both plc and private), PE firms, and lenders. Recent projects include advising McBride plc on refinancing, Matalan group on refinancing and restructuring, and Eddie Stobart Logistics plc on a rescue transaction. Opportunities also exist to work on national and international assignments with the broader Teneo Financial Advisory practice.
This role offers the chance to work with an established team to develop your advisory skills. You will advise company boards, management teams, lenders, and shareholders facing performance or financing challenges.
As a Manager / Associate Director, you will work on diverse engagements across sectors, leading workstreams, managing junior staff, and supporting senior leadership in client delivery.

* Managing insolvency appointments and liaising with legal teams
* Leading diverse teams and managing risks
* Supporting business development and marketing activities
* Mentoring junior staff and supporting talent development
Key Skills & Experience
* Experience in financial restructuring, insolvency, or transactions from professional services, banking, or funds
* Understanding of debt markets, loan agreements, and legal documentation
* Strong analytical and financial skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Leadership abilities and team development skills
