Job Title: Interim Financial Controller Contract: 9 12 Months Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting our SME client to appoint Interim Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a 9-12 month period. Based in Linwood on the outskirts of Glasgow, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands on environment, enjoys problem solving, and can operate confidently without a large finance team around them. You ll be the key financial lead on site, working closely with management to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and clear communication of financial performance. Financial Reporting & Control Preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Completion of balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining strong financial control Sales ledger reconciliation, including working with ID systems where required Monitoring and reporting of Actual vs Budget performance, highlighting variances and insights Payroll & Cash Management Full responsibility for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance Cash flow management, including forecasting and monitoring daily/weekly cash requirements Act as the on site accounting expert, with minimal internal support Confident in resolving accounting issues and implementing practical solutions Present and explain financial information to non finance managers in a clear, accessible way Our client is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status or pregnancy and maternity.
