We deliver health and social care services for people in Northamptonshire.
The ‘Recovering Independence Bed’ unit is delivered by a range of staff from health and social care settings, to deliver clinical care, rehabilitation support, ensuring patients experience the best quality of service in a prompt and smooth fashion.
The service provides a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team experienced in health and social care to deliver vital intermediate care for patients.
You will provide quality care for patients specialising in reablement and sub-acute care for patient stepping down from acute hospitals.
You will be working in an integrated multi-disciplinary team that includes nurses, unregistered staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical staff and social care colleagues.
As an integral member of the senior management team within the unit working collaboratively with the Service Manager, Nursing and Quality Lead and the Social Care Manager supporting the wider clinical team when the need arises.

Main duties of the job

As a Therapy Lead you will:
* Lead a multi-professional team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists, and Rehabilitation technicians employed by West Northamptonshire Council
* Provide clinical supervision for junior physiotherapists & occupational therapists at other sites as required
* Lead the multi-professional team to ensure that quality care is delivered to all of the patients within the centre ensuring safe and effective delegation of junior staff
* Lead in the assessment of the healthcare needs of patients and develop treatment plans reflecting their needs
* Lead in providing support to junior colleagues and assisting them in problem solving relating to patients.
* Lead in supporting and developing the team which includes undertaking appraisals, supervision and training and development with junior colleagues
* Lead on the rostering and recruitment process for Therapists when the need arises
* Lead in monitoring the quality of care the patients are receiving
* Lead in developing new ways of working in the centre and developing strong links with other services and the wider community
* Need to be well organised, confident and able to be adaptable and resourceful to deliver high quality patient care.
