The Role
We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our Product team where you'll lead the delivery of our technical documentation, ensuring that our customers get the most out of our best-in-class surveillance and analytics technology. This role will require excellent verbal and written communication skills and involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
In addition to technical documentation, you'll be crafting new online customer training content and working with the wider Product team to track engagement levels.
Responsibilities:
1. Proactively identify ways to improve the customer experience and understanding of the product and clearly articulate any technology changes required to achieve these
2. Write and maintain material that allows our users to take full advantage of our products and build a clear understanding of the underlying analytical models
3. Updating existing documentation in line with our regular release schedule
4. Creating detailed changelogs and internal bulletins to ensure that information regarding updates is distributed both within TradingHub and to our clients
5. Communicating closely with various teams throughout the firm to compile information and coordinate deadlines
6. Supporting customer enquiries relating to systems architecture and configuration alongside
7. Helping to design tools to automate repetitive tasks
Requirements
Main skills/experience:
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
9. Proven ability to distil complex information into clear and accessible formats
10. The ability to quickly grasp and understand difficult technical topics
11. Experience working in the financial services industry, a sell-side firm or a financial data/compliance vendor
12. Good understanding of how to adjust approach for different customer purposes and globally
13. Experience with mark-up languages such as HTML, LaTeX, and Markdown
14. A keen eye for detail and excellent copy-editing and proofreading skills
15. Strong interpersonal skills for effective inter-team coordination
16. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite products such as InDesign, Illustrator and Adobe Premiere Pro
