We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our vibrant team in Bournemouth. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with additional needs, within a nurturing environment that values inclusion, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the provision for pupils with special educational needs across the school.
* Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure high-quality support and positive outcomes for all pupils.
* Maintain and develop the school’s SEND policy and practice in line with statutory requirements.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support strategies.
* Provide training, guidance, and support to staff on SEND matters.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or currently working towards it).
* Proven experience as a SENCO in a primary school setting.
* In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* A strong commitment to inclusive education and the wellbeing of every child.
