Their commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability has positioned them as a trusted partner in the industry.\n\nYour new role\n\nOur client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Liverpool.
This is a key role supporting the delivery of a range of highways, surfacing, and infrastructure projects across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial and contractual management of projects from tender through to final account. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS looking to join a close-knit, forward-thinking business with long-term growth prospects.\n\nResponsibilities will include:\n\nManaging the commercial aspects of surfacing and infrastructure projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control\n\nPreparing and submitting accurate interim and final valuations\n\nNegotiating and administering sub-contractor packages and payments\n\nMonitoring project performance, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions\n\nPreparing and reviewing contract documentation including NEC and JCT forms\n\nSupporting tender submissions and providing commercial input into bids\n\nAttending site meetings, liaising with clients, site teams, and supply chain\n\nEnsuring compliance with commercial processes and internal reporting procedures\n\nAssisting with the preparation of monthly CVRs and commercial reports for senior management\n\nWhat you will need to succeed:\n\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering or surfacing sector\n\nStrong knowledge of standard forms of contract including NEC and JCT\n\nExcellent commercial acumen and attention to detail\n\nAbility to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently\n\nEffective communication and negotiation skills\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and QS-related software\n\nRelevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (HNC/HND/Degree)\n\nWhat you get in return:\n\nCompetitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience\n\nAttractive benefits package including company car or allowance, pension, and generous holiday entitlement\n\nOpportunity to work on a variety of projects across the UK\n\nSupportive, family-run company culture with a flat structure and direct access to senior leadership\n\nCommitment to staff development, progression, and recognition of performance\n\nA long-term career path within a growing and stable business\n\nReady to take the next step in your career?
